"Stefanie has the most positive, warm energy about her and brings that with her to every class. All her classes are always sequenced differently and appropriately for the individuals in the class. No two classes are alike!  Also, she is great when you have any injuries or issues and is mindful to remind you during class how you can adjust a pose.  I especially love the flow of the class and music. She has the right balance of upbeat and calming energy to make your class the perfect yoga experience.  You leave feeling at ease, but also sweaty and challenged.  I recently went on a retreat led by Stefanie at Suryalila in Spain.  It was the most amazing vacation and experience.  The place itself was paradise.  Stefanie had perfectly planned the classes we went to twice a day and the concepts we were exploring.  The retreat was a mix of people with all backgrounds in yoga - beginner to advanced individuals who were also yoga teachers.  I do not think anyone felt left out or not challenged enough.  Stefanie has the ability to know what will work for everyone and then add ons for advanced yogis to take it further. She is a wonderful teacher who cares deeply about her students and their health and experience. "

So this is what it’s like to do yoga on the upper east side of Manhattan. The students are fit, finessed and ready for a well-rounded and tough class. They couldn’t have a better teacher than Exhale Spa’s National Director of teacher training, Stefanie Eris. With Stefanie’s Laughing Lotus training, the students are exposed to the dance-like vibe that infuses her sequencing and makes the room flow. This is matched equally by her deep focus and concentration in breathwork, bringing us all together in our thoughts and energy. It’s an intelligent and well-paced class and it encourages students to go deeper into the poses and the practice. It’s no wonder this class is packed. A stellar playlist, some Thai massage-like adjustments and the UES ‘ladies who lunch’ chill out, connect with old friends, make new ones and lead us to believe for a moment, that we are practicing in Brooklyn. Crunch crunch.

Your hands-on approach was effortless and the flow was so graceful and smooth. The relationship between you and your students is beautiful and the trust is palpable. I enjoyed my experience thoroughly.

Thank you, yet again, for a beautiful class this morning. You continue to remind me why I practice, and why I love yoga so much. This quote reminded me of you and all of your wisdom ... and everything that yoga teaches us ... to take care of THIS moment, to trust yourself ....

"Be soft in your practice. Think of the method as a fine silvery stream, not a raging waterfall. Follow the stream, have faith in its course. It will go its own way, meandering here, trickling there. It will find the grooves, the cracks, the crevices. Just follow it. Never let it out of your sight. It will take you ..."

Turns out, the "stream" (my yoga practice) has taken me right where I need to be :)

She's MAGICAL

I don't even know where to begin with this review. I was once asked who my favorite instructor is at a certain spin studio in the NYC. I usually answer with two or three but lead off, ALWAYS, by saying I have to leave one instructor out as it's just not fair to even compare anyone with her. And across all my workouts, I had not met anyone who could come compete on that level. And then I met Stefanie. The second I met her I just knew she was special. Different. Don't even get me started on Yin Yoga in general and how it should be mandatory for anyone working out. But we'll save that for another time. As for Stefanie, I would give her 5000 stars on Personal Attention if RYB allowed it. The thing about Yin is everyone in that room works out differently, has different issues, pains, etc. An instructor could easily bark out orders for a stretch pose and leave it at that but not with Stefanie. She consistently goes around to each and every person in the room working with their stretch pose. If it's uncomfortable she makes it comfortable. I'm not joking when I see to date, every hour class seems like it lasted 5 minutes. I'm always like, "WTF, that was an hour!" Bottom line, if you're doing Barry's, CrossFit, AS1, Soul, Fly, Running outside, Killing it inside at Equinox or Crunch etc, YOU HAVE TO ADD YIN TO YOUR SCHEDULE. I mean you could theoretically stretch at home but then you'd be missing out on one absolutely awesome hour with Ms. Stefanie Eris. THE BEST!!!
